This Privacy Policy explains how LifeLore handles the information you provide and that we collect when you use lifelore.latentedge.io, create an account, write stories, upload photos, or invite collaborators.

By using LifeLore, you understand that we will process information as described here.

Account information may include your email address, your name if provided, a hashed version of your password, authentication tokens, password reset details, your email prompt frequency preference, and your subscription plan and status.

Content you create includes the stories you write, the prompts you receive or create, the photos you upload, and the draft or completed status of each story.

Collaboration information may include the email addresses of people you invite, the relationships between you and your collaborators, prompt suggestions sent between accounts, and the notifications generated by those activities.

Technical information may include IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, timestamps, and security signals used to protect the service and prevent abuse.

We use information to provide your account, deliver email prompts at your chosen frequency, store and display your stories and photos, enable collaboration features, respond to support requests, protect the service, debug problems, and improve LifeLore.

We may also use information to comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraud or abuse, and keep operational records.

The stories you write and the photos you upload are private to your account by default. They are visible to you and to collaborators only where you have explicitly used collaboration features.

Photos are stored using Cloudflare R2 object storage, and story text and metadata are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. We do not use your stories or photos to train machine learning models.

If you choose daily or weekly prompts, we send story prompts to your email address using an email delivery provider. You can change your prompt frequency, including pausing prompts, in your account settings.

We also send transactional messages that are necessary for the service, such as password resets, collaboration invitations, and important account or security notices.

LifeLore uses browser storage to keep you signed in, maintain authentication state, and remember interface choices such as your light or dark theme preference. These are necessary for the service to function.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that sign-ups and certain forms are submitted by real people and to protect the service from spam and automated abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers who help us run LifeLore, including Cloudflare for hosting, database, and photo storage, and an email provider for delivering prompts and transactional messages.

When you invite a collaborator, the information needed to manage that invitation, such as the invitee email address, is shared as part of the collaboration feature you initiated.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or reorganization.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, keep records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and operate the service. When you delete a story, its associated photos are removed from storage.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use a strong password and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You can edit or delete your stories and photos at any time from your account. You can update your name, email, password, and prompt frequency in your settings.

You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

LifeLore is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The date above shows when the current version took effect.
